About
Registered nurse, music lover and dyed-in-the-wool nightowl and nightshift-er, I grew up listening to stacks of 45s and LPs played by my mother (who brought home Detroit), my dad (who brought home Memphis) and my brother (who was a teen during the era of “Woodstock” and “Hair”). My first music purchase was at age 10. I laid 69 cents on the counter and bought ”I Heard It Through the Grapevine” by Gladys Knight & the Pips. I was off and running.
I still have that Gladys single. It’s got a lot of company that has made up my life’s soundtrack. Smooth and cool, or hot and funky, I like to share that soundtrack and the stories it inspires with my family and friends.
